Vans Outlet Store

I can't see Russia from my house but I can see that the Vans outlet in my area is pretty popular with the cool kids. And it doesn't take a genius to figure out why. Only at the outlet here will you be able to get a pair of classic slip-on Vans for ten bucks or less. When I walk into the store, I can hear the shoes beckoning for me to approach and try them on. They want a home and an owner who will take them home, cherish them, and then wear the heck out of their bottoms. Sometimes I surprise myself when I take a look at some of my old sneakers and see how worn out they are. A shrink might size me up and think I was some sort of crazy person who took out her anger on her shoes. Seriously though, if anybody from Vans is reading this, I love your shoes, but you've got to do something about reinforcing the soles so I don't get a hole smack dab in the middle of the heels every time.

I tend to be somewhat thrifty. I guess this is part of the reason why I'm so drawn to sneakers. They're really affordable, come in all sorts of cool colors, and I can throw them on regardless of what outfit I'm wearing. Come to think of it, I can't remember a time when I haven't worn sneakers. I love sneakers! Am I weird? When it comes to brand, I don't particularly have a favorite. I just see a design I like, and instantly drop everything else and go on a sneaker shopping binge. Luckily, I can afford this crazy obsession, and then when I finally get to wear my new sneakers, it just makes me so happy.

I was so bummed when I found out that the outlet mall near my house didn't have a Vans store. I cried myself to sleep for nearly a week (j/k, well maybe a fortnight). Thankfully, this low point in my life lasted only a few years, because Vans, in their infinite wisdom, finally decided to open a new store here. I was one of the first in line for the opening, and when I finally walked through the doors, I was like a kid in a candy store. Forget Disneyland, surely this was the happiest place on Earth. There were SO MANY SHOES. When the euphoria began to wear off, and my head was no longer spinning, I decided to get down to business. I finally narrowed it down to two pairs, one a classic must-have and another fancier pair. I had some money left over, so I also picked up a Hoodie. Sure, it was crowded, and the sales associates were too busy to offer great service, but this was to be expected on opening day. This was a good day. So good in fact, that I found myself there the next day as well. And unless you live in the boonies, I'm pretty sure there's an outlet near you. Here are some locations to get you started:
