It's a good thing I live near the Abercrombie and Fitch outlet in Chicago, because if I didn't I'd probably have to get another job just so I could afford all the clothes I wear. When I tell my friends I like to shop at outlets, they immediately picture suburban moms rummaging through racks of displaced clothing. My experience at the Abercrombie outlet has not been like this at all. At this clean and kept store, Abercrombie gets to rid their inventory of overstock items from last year's collections, and I get to bag sweet deals on high-quality pieces I probably would have paid full price for, had I not had the opportunity to buy it for cheaper.

Abercrombie & Fitch started out as a supplier of rugged, outdoor gear and has since evolved into a retailer of casual wear for men and women in the college demographic. My grandfather tells me there was a time when he bought camping equipment, fly flishing gear and even shotguns there. I am a bit disappointed I missed out on that. In all seriousness, I think Abercrombie makes some of the most stylish, high quality, All-American casual clothing and if this matches your personality then you should wear it. Even if you're not into the young successful Ivy League lifestyle A&F ads portray, you've gotta admit that the clothes look really good, especially when worn by celebs like Jennifer Aniston.

Besides the great location and the sale racks, there are a lot of other reasons to shop at an Abercrombie & Fitch outlet rather than the retail boutique. For one, the customer service is top notch and not for a minute do you ever feel pressured to buy anything. The young associate I ran into answered all my queries and had a smile on her face the entire time she was helping me look for items.

The store itself may be on the small side, but you don't feel cramped because their is ample aisle space between the racks. And even with the limited space, they still managed to stock most of last seasons line into the store. If you want really cute and really inexpensive clothes for the upcoming semester, then I advise you to hurry on down to the nearest Abercrombie & Fitch outlet in your town and go wild!
